One of my "admirers" in his attempt to find a common ground in the pursuit of a little self pleasure asked me this question in one of the social network mediums I use. He is aware and permits the use of his question:
I am curious. Do you ever get aroused or turned on when you speak to people about sex?
The answer is no. However, allow me to qualify that. When I speak to people about sex, typically it is in a professional capacity and I am concentrating more on providing accurate information and interactive communication. Along with that, education is much more than spewing off verbiage to a listener- it involves constant evaluation, and assessing if the information one provides is understood by the person(s) receiving the information. There is so much more to think about than content. Therefore, public speaking about sex in an educational context, for me at least, evokes no erotic response. However, erotic dialogue with one's partner or lover can most definitely be arousing in certain contexts. <wink>
